The Astro designed fully-integrated material handling, shipping rack and packaging system is designed to protect finished extrusions from paint line on through shipping. The system provides significantly improved inventory storage and utilization, loading and unloading efficiencies, and reduced product handling.
• With the use of Astro-designed returnable shipping racks, finished extrusions move from the paint line to stretch wrapping and shipping dock by an automatic packing conveyor that significantly reduces material handling, thus eliminating the two main causes of returned product — handling and metal strap dents.
• The Astro stackable racks have optimized the loading/unloading time to approximately 30-minutes.
